Postpartum Doula
What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula can provide educational, emotional, and physical support in the first days, weeks, or months following your baby’s birth. This gives you devoted time to rest and bond with your new baby. The smoothest transitions happen when family and baby are nurtured as a unit.
I know newborns and their behaviors. I also know new parents and where you feel vulnerable and unsure of what to do. Sometimes you may doubt yourself, but you know your baby best! You know your instincts and what feels right. What works for one family may not be right for another. I will help empower you to find your happy place. This makes for a beautiful, calm, and confident beginning!
Bringing your new family into balance and helping you find your way with your new baby is my goal. I offer evidence-based information on the emotional and physical recovery from birth, newborn care, infant soothing, and coping skills. Breastfeeding and formula feeding support are given. I have worked with hundreds of families and know that listening is truly important. Together we will help you figure out what works best for your new family.
